2260 eheim canister

　　Hi guys, how do I start the pump?
I fill the bucket fully and plug in the switch but it doesnt run?

Where you get the canister? If 2nd hand, then google for the manual and try again. Did you test it b4 buying?
If new, read the manual for instructions if you never use a canister b4. If very sure that it is not working, bring it back to the lfs.

Just remember canister runs on siphon. You got yourself a beast and an awesome workhorse
Does this model have a manual pump for you to press the water to the hose?

What to do mean? Water needs to flow back to the canister (i.e. draining from high to low), just like when doing water change you use water hose to suck out water and dirt.

Yup intake of most canister filter is via siphon. Gravity will do what it does best. Just remember this because when u remove the canister many months later you may need to restart it again. So dont assume the pump not working
